ABLE Leadership Takes On the Operating Problems Slowing Financial Services Firms
Founder RJ Grimshaw earns Anthropic’s Claude Partner Badge: Claude Code to deepen the firm’s AI implementation work
ANN ARBOR, Mich., November 4, 2026 Equipment finance companies, community banks, and credit unions lose staff time every day to repeated data entry, incomplete customer requests, undocumented procedures, and decisions delayed by unclear authority. These problems slow customer service and make growth more expensive to support. ABLE Leadership helps leadership teams fix them first, then applies AI where it eliminates work.
To deepen that implementation work, ABLE Leadership founder and CEO RJ Grimshaw has earned Anthropic’s Claude Partner designation: Claude Code.
“When we work with a leadership team on where to invest, we need to understand what it takes to put the technology to work,” Grimshaw said. “Our clients need people who understand their business, can build what’s needed, and will work through the details that determine whether it succeeds.”
Each engagement starts with a measurable outcome the leadership team agrees on, such as hours returned to staff, faster customer turnaround, or lower cost to serve. Results are measured against a baseline set before any work begins. Employees help examine how work gets done and identify what should change before technology is selected.
That approach reflects Grimshaw’s work on intrapreneurship: building an operating culture in which leadership sets direction and gives employees the latitude, authority, and support to improve the business. AI gives those employees additional ways to apply their knowledge.
Implementation includes employee training, access controls, exception handling, and defined support responsibilities. Business executives remain accountable for results, including the total cost of making and sustaining the changes.
“Our responsibility continues after a tool is built,” Grimshaw said. “People need to know how to use it, when to question it, and who to call when it fails. Leadership needs to know whether it’s helping the business. We continue to invest in our expertise because delivering that takes both operating judgment and technical skill.”
Grimshaw serves as Strategic AI Advisor to the National Equipment Finance Association and is the author of The AI Edge and a U.S. Air Force veteran. His other credentials include Anthropic Certified AI Fluency, MIT Management Executive Education in AI Strategy, and Upstart’s AI & Financial Services certification.
